The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2018

This year, The Kids’ Cookery School is taking part in ‘The Big Christmas Challenge’, an annual "double your donation" fundraising campaign run by the Big Give and The Childhood Trust. You might remember we did the Big Summer Give 2018 for the first time and we reached our target in the first day, which was amazing so thank you for supporting us.

The Big Christmas Challenge 2018 is focused on charities like ours who help keep vulnerable and disadvantaged children safe, well fed and productively engaged during the school holidays.

We’re hoping to raise vital funds for our projects this Christmas and New Year; Pop-Up cookery workshops with KCS On wheels as well as cookery sessions at KCS HQ. We are aiming to raise £4,000 in donations from our supporters. The first £2,000 donated will be matched and of course doubled. After the first £2,000 we will still receive the money and it will be used to help more children learn this vital life skill. No donation is too small and every penny will help the charity to continue its important work.

This Christmas holiday thousands of children will not have any Breakfast, Lunch or Tea and will be left hungry through no fault of their own! We want to change this and give them the opportunity to learn how to cook fresh, delicious food for themselves.

Starting from today, every donation is DOUBLED up to £2,000. With a small donation of £5, which will be doubled to £10, a child will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare and cook fresh food from scratch, be creative and have something nutritious and delicious to eat and share with family and friends. Please don’t stop giving even if we have met our Matching donation Pot. Every penny matters and goes towards children living in poverty and disadvantage.

The BigGive Christmas Challenge 2018 will take place from 12 Noon on Tuesday 27th November until 12 Noon on Tuesday 4th December 2018.

We only have 7 days to collect as much money as possible for this important project. Let’s see how many children we can help over this often tough and lonely Christmas holidays!
